Kawa is my current design brand that I sell custom bike bags under. When I created the Kawa Logo I wanted something that felt relaxed and playful, but at the same time grounded and meaningful. I ended up creating a font using a curving grid that is totally symmetrical, showing a refined product, yet also flowy and smooth. The curves of the characters invoke ripples on flowing water, leading back to the meaning of the name Kawa, which is River in Japanese. I have made various variations of the logo to be used on different areas of products and print designs. The logo was created in Adobe Illustrator.
